Wallet and Payments Policy
Version: v1 draft Status: Draft for Nigerian counsel, provider, compliance, and finance review
V1 Payment Position
ZenWave v1 may include wallet/payment screens, provider references, ledgers, QR payment foundations, payment links, and reconciliation tools only where enabled. These features may be paused or limited.
Marketplace checkout, broad escrow, unrestricted stored-value wallets, and general money movement are paused unless enabled by backend feature flags and cleared through legal, provider, fraud, reconciliation, refund, and operational readiness.
Providers
Paystack is the primary provider target. Flutterwave is fallback/provider-readiness support unless changed by approved configuration. Provider rules, bank rules, card-network rules, sanctions screening, fraud checks, and Nigerian regulatory requirements may affect availability.
ZenWave should not hold customer funds, issue electronic money, or offer deposit-taking/stored-value services unless this is done through appropriately licensed providers and reviewed by counsel.
Holds, Limits, and Delays
Payments, balances, transfers, payouts, refunds, QR requests, and ledger entries may be held, delayed, limited, reversed, or rejected for:
- incomplete verification or Trust Passport checks;
- provider downtime, provider review, chargebacks, or reconciliation mismatch;
- suspected fraud, account takeover, scam reports, or cybercrime concerns;
- refund/dispute review;
- AML/KYC, sanctions, or law-enforcement obligations;
- feature flags or launch gates.
User Responsibilities
Users must use payment methods they control, provide accurate payout details, avoid off-platform pressure, and report suspicious payment requests quickly.
No Financial Advice or Regulated Product Promise
ZenWave does not provide financial advice, investment returns, loans, insurance, or deposit guarantees. Any regulated financial service must be provided through licensed partners and separately reviewed.
