Trust Passport Policy

Version: v1 draft Status: Draft for Nigerian counsel and policy review

Trust Passport is ZenWave's v1 identity and accountability layer. It helps users understand verification status, account standing, and eligibility for higher-risk actions.

Verification Types

ZenWave may support:

  • phone verification through backend-only OTP delivery;
  • email verification;
  • face or liveness verification where enabled;
  • government ID review where enabled;
  • business, institution, professional, payout, or address checks where enabled;
  • account standing, safety, fraud, and support-review signals.

What Users See

Users may see public or semi-public trust indicators such as verified phone, verified email, Trust Passport status, account standing, and eligibility labels.

ZenWave may hide or mask internal fraud scores, support notes, reviewer notes, exact safety data, payment-provider signals, biometric/liveness details, identity document details, and other sensitive verification details.

Feature Access

Verification may be required for paid activity, wallet/payment readiness, QR payment links, event attendance, community moderation, seller tools, payout checks, refunds, dispute review, safety actions, and marketplace functionality if those features are later enabled.

ZenWave may reject, pause, or repeat verification if information is inaccurate, expired, inconsistent, suspicious, provider-rejected, or legally restricted.

User Responsibilities

Users must submit accurate information and use only accounts, phones, emails, documents, and payment details they are authorized to use. Do not sell or rent verified accounts.

Reviews and Appeals

Users may ask support to review a verification outcome. ZenWave may request additional information and may be limited in what it can disclose where fraud, safety, provider, or legal restrictions apply.

Retention and Privacy

Trust Passport records may be retained where needed for account integrity, safety, fraud prevention, payment-provider requirements, disputes, legal claims, audit logs, or lawful requests. ZenWave should minimize public display and avoid exposing raw identity documents, private phone numbers, private emails, exact safety locations, internal risk scores, or reviewer notes.
