Safety Policy
Version: v1 draft Status: Draft for Nigerian counsel, trust and safety, and operations review
ZenWave is built around community trust, verification, reporting, and safety sessions. Safety tools support safer decisions but do not replace emergency services.
Safety Sessions
Safety Sessions may include planned meetups, guardian visibility, check-ins, approximate location, escalation states, QR checks, and post-session records.
Users should only start sessions with trusted contacts, keep location sharing appropriate, and use emergency services directly if there is immediate danger.
Reports
Users can report scams, dangerous users, harassment, impersonation, unsafe meetups, payment fraud, account compromise, and other harms.
ZenWave may preserve evidence, restrict accounts, contact involved users, escalate internally, notify providers, or report serious issues to lawful channels where appropriate.
Privacy and Masking
Safety data may be sensitive. ZenWave may mask exact locations, phone numbers, emails, guardian details, internal risk signals, and support evidence. Access should be limited to authorized staff and only where needed.
High-Risk Conduct
The following may lead to urgent restriction:
- threats, violence, stalking, extortion, blackmail, or doxxing;
- child exploitation or sexual exploitation;
- identity theft, account takeover, payment fraud, or scams;
- unsafe event coordination or dangerous meetup behavior;
- repeated harassment or ban evasion.
Emergency Disclaimer
ZenWave is not an emergency response provider. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services, trusted people nearby, or relevant authorities directly.
